Where it goes
Form submissions are stored on our website, which is hosted by GoDaddy, and emailed to the LYIS team. Our email is provided by [email provider]. Newsletter addresses are held in [newsletter service, when chosen]. These providers process data on our instructions under contracts that meet UK GDPR requirements. Some of them store data outside the UK; where they do, transfers are covered by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.
We share your information with nobody else, unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Membership and course enquiries: for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry, and then for up to two years so we can follow up, unless you become a member.
- Member records: for the life of your membership and six years afterwards, for accounting and legal reasons.
- Contact messages: up to two years.
- Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
Cookies
This site sets only the cookies it needs to work: a session cookie when you log in to the member area, and a short-lived cookie that remembers a form you have just sent so we can show the confirmation. We do not use advertising cookies. If we add analytics, we will ask for your consent first and update this notice.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask for it in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email contact@leadingyourinternationalschool.com and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you told us first so we can put it right.
Children
This site is for adults working in education. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this notice, the date at the top changes and, for anything significant, we will tell members by email.
