Membership
Ready for your next step?
Whether you are an educator stepping up into leadership or a principal who has been there for years, LYIS is the community that helps you grow. Choose your membership, tell us about yourself, and we will welcome you in.

Leadership is lonely. It doesn’t have to be.
LYIS brings serving and aspiring principals together to share what works, think more clearly and lead with integrity.

Find your people
Connect with leaders who are asking the same questions and wrestling with the same challenges, wherever they are in the world.

Grow as a leader
Mentoring, coaching, qualifications and courses built for the realities of leading an international school.

Share what works
Write for the Principal’s Blog, speak at events and shape the frameworks that guide international school leadership.

Questions before you join
Still deciding? These are the things people ask us most. If yours is not here, send it and a person will answer.

How do I pay?
Send the short form above and the team will reply within a few days with how to pay: by bank transfer, or by invoice to your school. Online card payment is coming with the membership launch.
Can my school pay for my membership?
Yes. Ask for an invoice made out to the school when the team replies. If several colleagues want to join, tell us and we will quote for the group.
How long does membership last?
A year from the date we confirm your place. We will be in touch before it ends so you can decide whether to renew.
I am not sure which membership fits me.
Choose “Not sure yet” on the form and tell us about your role. We will suggest the right one; there is no wrong answer at this stage.
Does membership include LYIS-Q?
No. LYIS-Q is a separate twelve-month programme. Members pay £1,750 rather than the £2,050 guest fee, which is why joining first costs less overall.
Is LYIS a professional body or a society?
No. LYIS is an organisation for people who aspire to lead international schools, and for those already doing it. Membership gives you a community, development and support; it does not confer a professional status or letters after your name.
Already a member?
Member accounts and the online member area arrive with the membership launch. Until then the team is one email away for anything you need.
